The Big Beautiful Bill Now Opens The Door For A New Balanced Budget Process

Gene Valentino, TW Shannon, Dick Morris Season 5 Episode 597

What a 4th of July GIFT FROM GOD! The passage of this bill allows Donald Trump to keep his promises. Fiscal conservatives see he's performing. Medicaid will not be cut. The waste in Medicaid will be. Congress will transform by the midterm elections. Republicans will be the super-majority. The Dems are diverting, deflecting and distracting your attention away from a Republican success plan that is a sea change that has been underway these last 6 months. If this is what we are the beneficiaries of after just 6 months, what successes are we in for as a nation in the next 3 1/2 years ahead? The key concern is to continue the budget cleanup and move to an annually-agreed balanced budget without all the theatrics.

TW Shannon: Welcome back. I'm TW Shannon in for. Rita Cosby. It's big, it's beautiful, and well, now it is the Law of the Land. We know that President Co President Trump recently signed in the big, beautiful bill with includes tax cuts, energy independence, national security, and more money in your pockets. Joining us now is an advisor to President Trump.

He's also the author of the bestselling book, the Return Trump's Big 2024 Comeback. Dick Morris. Also with us is GOP, political strategist and insider. As well as the host of GrassRoots TruthCast Podcast, Gene Valentino. Welcome, gentlemen.

Gene Valentino: Hi. Good. Good to, hello,

TW Shannon: Gene. I'm gonna start with you now. We know President Trump.

I mean, it's just incredible what he's accomplished in just six months. In your opinion, what is the passing of the big, beautiful Bill mean for his legacy is he cemented as the greatest [00:02:00] negotiator at all time.

Gene Valentino: Well, this has been a, a quantum effort that it has, um, shown it's, um, poison you, you lift the Pandora's box open and you see so much more.

The start is what you just reported, uh, tw, um, the, uh, the fraud, the waste and abuse. But Tom Basil this morning on a different show on Newsmax was talking about 300. Billion dollars of additional fraud that's now been revealed. The big, beautiful bill to answer your question opens the door for a process that now lets us get back to what Donald Trump and Elon Musk initiated.

And that's the doge effort that will be part and parcel of every future budget process and hopefully allows us to, after we clean up the mess, allows us to get to a true balanced budget. Process going forward in this nation? Yeah. So this [00:03:00] deceit, tw this, um, this, uh, charade, this masking of expenses is no longer, it's not what the American people bought into.

No,

TW Shannon: I think you're right. Now, Dick, we know President Trump is expecting a lot of great things for Americans. Listen in, and I wanna get your take on it.

President Donald Trump: There could be no better birthday present for America than the phenomenal victory we achieved just. Hours ago when Congress passed the one big, beautiful bill to make America great again with this bill.

Every major promise I made to the people of Iowa in 2024 became a promise kept.

TW Shannon: I mean, Dick, you talk about promises made, promises kept. What do you take? What's your take on the President's remarks there?

Dick Morris: Well, he's absolutely true. It's, uh, every single item in his second term agenda is in that bill. Uh, I think that there's a larger context, though.

You know, mark Twain once said there are two things people should never. A law being passed and a sausage [00:04:00] being made, but this is an exception to it. This is like watching a show on the cooking channel where you see the most elaborate, beautiful wedding cake being assembled piece by piece. As people followed these negotiations, they saw how he told fiscal show fiscal conservatives that his tariff revenues would bill the deficit.

He told people who were worried about, uh, Medicaid, that they were only cutting off illegal immigrants, not other, other people. And he really took the different factions of his party and of the country and built them into one coalition for this bill. Th this was an act of legislative skill. Absolutely.

Anything Lyndon Johnson ever did in the sixties,

TW Shannon: it, it sounds like you're calling President Trump, the Julia Childs of sausage making. But Gene, I do want to, uh, recognize that the same cannot be said for the way the Democrats are responding. Check this out and I wanna get your response.

Sen Elisibeth Warren: Republicans know what they're doing.

[00:05:00] They know that this bill will hurt people. They know that this bill will kill people,

Congressman Hakeem Jefferies: hospitals will close, nursing homes will shut down, and people will literally die. This bill is trickle down cruelty, and people will die because of it.

Gene Valentino: Here's the, we are all going to die at.

TW Shannon: Yeah. So here, here's my thing, Gene, how are the Democrats gonna handle, you know, a couple of months from now when the morgues aren't filling up like they've predicted, when we're not having mass casualties on the streets, the economy's going.

How do they recover from this outlandish responses they've given? Which is just downright lies, in my opinion, in most cases.

Gene Valentino: Well, there'll be mass casualties, RITW, but it'll be in the d in the Democrat party that you mean politically. That's what I mean. Yeah, that's how, excuse me, that's what I mean.

Politically. Politically, you're gonna see the biggest upheaval, uh, in the political form. Uh, for [00:06:00] format of the United States Congress midterm elections will show hopefully a super majority in the House of Representatives, if not the Senate. The purpose is to get some constitutional amendments in place, in my opinion, that remedy this bad behavior permanently so that another elected official after Donald Trump cannot reverse what Donald Trump has done in six months.

And that's key. We need constitutional amendments to stop this bad behavior. Everything that the, and here's what they're doing. To answer your question, they're diverting. They're deflecting, absolutely. And they're distracting your attention from the successes of Donald Trump, which are uh, unprecedented.

TW Shannon: Yeah, it's incredible to watch. You know, this bill has been an interesting, uh, exercise in this real political savvy of Donald Trump, and we can't say enough about Speaker Johnson, too. Uh, final words to you, Dick Morris, what do the Republicans do next? So much of the [00:07:00] President's agenda was accomplished here.

What do you think is next in the final 20

Dick Morris: seconds? Well, I think that ultimately what Trump is doing is transferring the. Things from taxing Americans to taxing foreigners with tariffs and, uh, making them pay for access to the American market. And I think that that process is still going on. Companies are still coming to the United States and locating their headquarters here because it's cheaper and better to be here than to import to here.

And I think that that's a sea change in American policy and in what? The environment's going to hold for us.

TW Shannon: Such a good point. Dick Morris, Gene Valentino. I don't think the American people are tired of winning yet, but I think we're closer than we've ever been. Thank you both so much, gentlemen.

Dick Morris: Thank you.

Thank you.

[00:08:00] If tomorrow all the things were going, I work for all my life and I had to start again with just my children and my wife. I think my lucky. Stars to living here today where the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American where the least I know I'm free and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I. Stand up next to you and defend today.[00:09:00]

God bless

the.

To the hills of Tennessee, across the plains of Texas. Oh, from Sea to Shining Sea. From Detroit, down to Houston, New York, two and a where there's pride in every American heart. It's time we stand and.

I'm free and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me, [00:10:00] and I stand up next to you and defend her still today.

Women free, and I won't forget the men who died who gave right to me, and I gladly next to you and defend her still today because [00:11:00] there.
