Katrina Szish: All right. Well, uh, you know, again, that could be, uh, I'll say your new house. So what does that, that you saw today represent for your party? And what does that make you think about being part of that group?
Gene Valentino: Well, it's my 30 years in business. I can tell you that it's like making sausage.
It never comes out exactly the way you want. But in this case, under the guidance of Donald Trump, I think it worked out perfectly. I think speaker Johnson is the right guy for the job. Uh, who gets it 100 percent of the way 100 percent of the time? So concessions were made to accommodate, uh, some of the [00:01:00] votes necessary.
The extremism, uh, of the Democrat party showed how they, without rhyme or reason, uh, fell into lockstep, uh, under the cracked whip of Nancy Pelosi. However, we on the Republican side are trying to, uh, elicit diversity of opinion and thought and innovation. And that's what this sausage making process is all about.
Bob Brooks: Uh, Gene, I know that's the argument from a lot of Republicans that, uh, it's the party of free think and dissension and you make that sausage as you put it though. It's a two, basically a two year window, probably for president Trump to get his agenda done. When I say it's time to get it together, what do you think?
Gene Valentino: Well, I think when I think you've just witnessed it, I think an ultimatum was said, Hey, are we going to deliberate and embarrass ourselves like what happened during the ousting of Kevin McCarthy? Or are we going to line [00:02:00] up who gets it 100 percent of the way 100 percent of the time and we're being handed an unbelievable budget with unbelievable agreements and concessions already in place from the prior administration to, uh, uh, Mike Johnson's credit, he has been able to pivot most of that with Elon and Vivek's help.
They got rid of what, a 1, 500 page bill and got it down to something under 100 pages. This is good news, guys. This is, this is a deliberative process. Yes, it's playing before the media, uh, unlike days gone by, but I'm glad we're out. We are where we are. Information. Truth. Is freedom. Is Newsmax. It's real news for real people.
